vp 44

This university is structured like a human body with three main parts.
In the position of the head are four senior monks, who are:

1. Bhaddanta Kavinanda Mahathera, Vinaya Specialist, Pariyatti Scholar, and University Chancellor.

2. Dr. Bhaddanta Pandita, Ph.D. (UK), Central Council of University Administration, Chief Monk.

3. Dr. Bhaddanta Nanda Sena Lankara, Ph.D., holder of the Dhamma Paraguru title, the Rector of University

4. Bhaddanta Vijjananda, Chairman of the University Central Administrative Board.

These four monks, occupying the head position, guide the institution with the following four primary objectives in alignment with the Buddha intentions:

1. To establish a comprehensive academic environment where the teachings of the Tipitaka and modern missionary methods (with English as the Medium of Instruction) are rigorously studied, taught, and disseminated.

2. To create a powerful platform for gathering distinguished scholars and experts, both local and international.

3. To foster the well-being of both the monastic students and the faculty.

4. In particular, they adhere to the fourth principle, guiding the university in alignment with the Buddha’s intentions, to develop into a true and exemplary Dhamma Vinaya University, capable of fulfilling the noble aspirations of learned scholars and venerable individuals."
